How do I keep getting so behind?

I'm not sure how I keep getting so far behind, I'll try to do better. Until then here's the update.

Friday we had parent teacher conferences for the kids. They are both doing quite well. Logan has improved so much with his writing, both his penmanship and his writing abilities. Ciera continues to excel with above grade level work and is now spending a lot of time socializing with other students. She's not causing too big of a problem with it and honestly we are pleased to see her broadening her social circle and that she's socializing like a typical 12 year old (she's always been quite content to be on her own).

Friday evening we headed to my SIL's for Brian's mother's birthday. We had a wonderful evening, roast beef, mashed potatoes, corn and lots of cake! Logan spent the night with his cousins and the rest of us headed home to get a good rest for the weekend's softball tournament.

Saturday we headed to Stockton, about 1 1/2 hours away, for Ciera's softball. The girls played great and ended up first seed in their pool-we didn't have to return Sunday until 12:30! They won 2 of 3 games on Saturday. Sunday they played quite well and won 1 of 2 games before being knocked out of the tournament. They were winning their 2nd game 5-2 until the bottom of the final inning when they gave it away. That team went on to win the Championship. Logan decided to go with us on Sunday and it was nice to have him with us. He spent most of the games playing football with other boys and playing his new DS game (thanks Grandma & Papa).

This was our first 'away' tournament with the new pump. I wasn't sure what it would do to my supply. I was pleased to find that it had no impact at all and I still did quite well. I also took my first PP bath Sunday night. It was so nice to soak in the tub again. It's also nice to be feeling back to normal.

Monday I didn't do much other than catch up on some needed sleep after the weekend. After school we headed to do some shopping. Logan and I found a pair of basketball shoes, since basketball starts this week. We also found an 'Easter outfit'. He picked it out himself and he loves it! It's so nice to see him in something other than 'athletic pants/shorts'. I'll have to post a picture when he wears it Friday. While we were at the store he picked up a swimsuit so that he doesn't have to go shopping again. Then Brian and I traded kids and Ciera and I did a bit of mall shopping. She found a new pair of shoes (that she'd been deliberating on since January) and a new pair of black and white checked pants that she loves. I got a picture of it yesterday that I will upload soon. They make me a little dizzy, but she loves them and was 100% willing to spend her own money on them.

Tuesday, Brian had the day off for Cesar Chavez day. I had so many plans for the day, but sadly we slept most of it away. He got to sleep in and I went back to bed after getting the kids to school. He went to get a hair cut while I got my pumping done. Then we headed to Carl's Jr. to try the new Kentucky Bourbon Six Dollar Burger (with a coupon from Grandma). It was delicious! You should definitely give it a try! After lunch we headed to Costco for a few essentials. We had just enough time to unpack the car before picking up the kids from school and heading to Ciera's softball game. She got to pitch 2 innings and did a great job-she hasn't pitched much since her finger injury. The girls won and played fairly well, although there were still more errors than the coaches would like to see.

Today I've gotten the laundry done and the Scholastic book order forms ready to go out on Friday. It doesn't sound like much but both tasks take a lot of time. Logan has his first basketball practice tonight. We're looking forward to meeting the new team. Brian has agreed to coach and there's only 8 on the team. One boy won't ever be able to make our practice time so he's looking to trade teams and another boy just had an appendectomy, so there will only be 6 boys there tonight. Their first game is Friday night, so not a lot of time to do much of anything. Hopefully they'll have a good time though.

Thursday we have NO sporting commitments at all, aside from Ciera going out to pitch for a bit. I will be making my copies at school and I think there's even some typing to be done again. Thursday afternoon Logan will get his orthodontic appliances. We're both a little anxious to see what he'll have to do.

Friday Logan and I have a field trip. I've done this field trip with Ciera before and it was a pretty good one, so I'm hoping Logan will enjoy it even more. Friday is the last day before Spring Break and I think we all are looking forward to a week of sleeping in (or in my case going back to bed after pumping). We have very loose plans for the week and we'll just see where the week takes us (Ciera is hoping it takes her to the mall).

Wow, quite a week, I can totally see why you feel behind on the blogging.

I'll bet your excited to have a week of downtime too, and maybe even a little more shopping...you guys seem to like shopping often...lol.

Have a great weekend.

We don't really 'shop' all that often, it's just quick little errands that everyone does-I'm just the only one that blogs about them like they're a big deal :)
